Kwa Ukungu Secondary school visits Mutech.

On 19th July 2023, the Form 4 science Class from Kwa _ Ukungu secondary school visited us. After a short walk from Kwa-Ukungu to Mutech, the students were welcomed at our premises. A tour of our workshops in small groups gave the students an insight into the world of Mechanical Engineering machines. For students who are enthusiastic about technology, the turning and milling machines were the highlight as they function under the basic physics laws and principles. In our training workshop, the focus was on the apprenticeship as a Industrial, Motor vehicle and Aircraft Mechanic. At the end, a snack was served at our Cafeteria, which the students visibly enjoyed.
The aim of the visit was to strengthen the cooperation between secondary schools in the region and Mutech training Institute, which should serve as a better orientation for the STEM students. In addition, the students learn more about the apprenticeship programmes on offer through the project day and learn to apply mathematics in practice.

Mutech Director Morris Maingi and Adminstrator Anne Wairimu presented the current apprenticeship situation at the Institute. They pointed out the difficulties in recruiting trainees and presented the company's own training workshop.
